Meet our team!

John Peters
Chief Executive

John has spent most of his working life in publishing, management consultancy and business education, and he holds visiting and advisory posts at a number of UK universities. John is particularly interested in pragmatic approaches to implementing personal and organizational values in business.

He lives with his family, including a cat with no tail and a dog with no sense, in the Pennines in West Yorkshire. His interests include travel, particularly Italy, and football, particularly Leeds United.
Rebecca Marsh
Publishing Director

Rebecca has enjoyed working in publishing for over 20 years, in book and journal publishing and at both large and small publishing houses. Rebecca joined Greenleaf Publishing due to the inspirational mission of the company and the opportunity to build on a great list of books and journals. She enjoys seeing the development of people, titles, organizations and social goals. In addition to her publishing role, she also undertakes training on behalf of The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers.

Amanda Briggs

Amanda has worked most of her adult life in Higher Education and scholarly publishing. She founded Greenleaf Publishing's parent company, GSE Research, with John Peters in 2011, with the goal of creating new publishing models and bringing important, quality research in the fields of governance, sustainability and environmental management to as wide a global audience as possible. She is proud that the company continues to fulfil that ambition today.

Amanda's spare time is mostly spent studying; walking her little dog Daisy over the Pennine moors; and learning to dance ballroom and latin.

Victoria Halliday


Victoria joined Greenleaf in July 2016 having spent five years working in editorial and communications roles within book publishing, ethical finance and nonprofit organizations. As Publisher she commissions and oversees the editorial management of new book titles, as well as helping to guide Greenleaf's journal publishing programme. 

Victoria enjoys climbing rocks and swimming in cold water. Having been brought up on an organic farm, she has a keen interest in sustainable agriculture and has spent time working on organic farms in California, Australia and Europe.

Senior Global Sales Manager

Richard has worked in the academic sector for over 10 years and for many of the leading publishing and technology companies. Richard joined Greenleaf Publishing in 2013 and manages global sales, focusing primarily on the academic markets. He particularly enjoys working for a small company. The need to educate and help make better managers, with the aid of the SOL and Greenleaf collections, is something Richard is extremely passionate about.

Academic Liaison and Book Sales Manager

Neil is Sales Manager for our academic and professional books and has recently relocated to the UK after a number of years living in New Zealand. He has over ten years' experience working in most aspects of the book trade and is relishing his new role at Greenleaf Publishing. 

When not in the office Neil likes to chase his dachshund around York racecourse, run very long distances and drink the occasional IPA.

Cathie joined Greenleaf Publishing in May 2013 and is committed to developing strong, sustainable partnerships with our customers and business partners. As Head of Marketing and Customer Services, she enjoys helping our customers get the most from our eCollections and engaging with those who are equally committed to developing socially responsible attitudes within universities and business. Cathie really values the work we do within our small but perfectly formed team and, when not at work, focuses on an equally busy home life, travelling, going to the theatre, and creating memories with her family and friends.

Danielle joined the team as an intern in June 2014, shortly after completing her English Literature and Language degree at the University of Sheffield. Deciding she never wanted to leave, she became a full-time member of the marketing team two months later. Danielle enjoys being part of a hands-on team and is enthusiastic about helping academic institutions develop ethical, sustainable and socially responsible attitudes in business education through the SOL and GOL online resources.

In her spare time, Danielle enjoys rambling around the Yorkshire Dales, cooking, going to the theatre, and a good book.
Laura Salvat

Marketing Executive

Laura studied Translation and Interpreting at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, before moving to work in Geneva for 2 years after graduating. She moved to England in 2012 where she has worked as a translator, in tourism and as a sales agent. Laura joined Greenleaf Publishing in February 2016 and she really enjoys introducing GOL and SOL to the academic institutions of South Europe to help them to develop their curricula in the areas of sustainability and responsible management.

Outside work, she loves travelling, reading and enjoying a good wine and some tapas with her friends.

Customer Service Executive

Saousane started at Greenleaf in January 2016 as Customer Service Executive, having previously worked in a number of sales and customer service roles. She enjoys liaising with our customers and building strong relationships with them. Saousane loves being part of the small and effective team at Greenleaf Publishing and is proud to be promoting sustainability and corporate social responsibility to academics and professionals.

Outside of work, Saousane is an avid reader, an animal lover (has a beautiful cat named Mocha) and a movie buff.
Dean Bargh
Dean Bargh

Dean has worked in publishing for over 20 years, across the editorial and production spectrum. He has been a one-man production, editorial and marketing department in a publishing startup, and has been involved in Greenleaf Publishing since its inception in 1992. He is proud to be part of a company that works to spread ideas about new ways of organizing society and practical solutions to make our prevailing systems work for the many not the few.

Dean is a Mac geek, a patient educator in the correct use of the apostrophe, and an analogue musician.
Chris Maher
Chris Maher
Production Manager

Chris joined Greenleaf in November 2016, after relocating from London to lovely Yorkshire. He coordinates the production of Greenleaf Publishing's books and journals, working with publishers, editors, typesetters, designers and printers to get the final product published. Previously, he worked in print production and publishing for a healthcare charity, and has further experience in communications within the Third Sector. 

In his spare time, Chris brews beer in his kitchen, grows organic veg on his allotment and loves to explore the British countryside. 

Steven Gilroy
Finance Manager

Steven joined the Greenleaf team in October 2015, having previously worked in finance at other publishing organizations. He is enthusiastic about working for an ethically driven, mission-based publisher and enjoys the challenge of managing the company’s accounts. Alongside work, he is also currently undertaking his professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

In his spare time Steven is an award-winning bowls player and has represented Yorkshire at county level for over 10 years. He remains undefeated against Lancashire in this period.
