Sustainable Development Goals
How Greenleaf Publishing eCollections support the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), formally adopted at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015, are designed to follow and expand on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which expire at end of the year.
Unlike the MDGs, the SDGs were developed following widespread consultation before being agreed by the 193 UN member states. The SDGs comprise of 17 goals, 169 targets and a number of indicators which will provide governments with a framework for development policies up to 2030.
Greenleaf Publishing works closely with the United Nations Global Compact and Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). We were pleased to launch the first Inspirational Guide for the Implementation of PRME at the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio (“Rio +20”). Full details of our PRME series are available here.
Greenleaf Publishing supports and endorses the 17 SDGS and this brochure presents a guide to where titles featured in our eCollections are aligned with the SDG elements and how they can inform organizations - business, NGO, government and educational - working to implement them.
