David Murillo has a degree in Business Administration (1996), in Humanities (2003), and a PhD in Sociology (2008). He has been a lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at ESADE since 2009 and Researcher at the Institute for Social Innovation since 2002. He has several publications and articles on business ethics, CSR and moral and political philosophy. His professional experience includes working in the private sector (commercial banking), in the public sector (economic development) and in NGOs (care sector). Among his recent publications are ‘Governmentality and the Politics of CSR’ in Organization (Sage) and ‘CSR, SMEs and Social Capital: An Empirical Study and Conceptual Reflection’ in the Ramon Llull Journal of Applied Ethics. Both texts were published in 2012 and co-authored by Steen Vallentin.
